The GMP Pilot Production Service Platform has an extraction workshop, preparation workshop, quality test platform and supporting facilities such as hazardous chemicals warehouse, power center and sewage treatment plant. The total building area is 35,386 m2. The production workshop is built in accordance with the GMP certification standard of the European Union and China, which can provide R&D industrialized services, such as pilot test, expandable production, OEM of patent medicine, among other, and the supporting services of steam supply, steam production and laboratory sewage treatment. The GMP Platform for European Union Certification  is currently being promoted actively. Once certification is concluded, the GMP Platform can provide domestic and international enterprises, and R&D institutions with the services of R&D, clinical test sample processing and OEM for traditional Chinese medicine and herbal medicine products targeting international registration and trade.

 

The preparation workshop is located on the first, second, and third floors of Building RD9 of the Park, with an area of around 2,300 m2 in each floor. It is used for the pilot-test-scale production and OEM of patent medicine of various forms of drugs, such as tablets, capsules, granules, small pills, liniments, and so on. More production lines of diversified forms of drugs will be developed.

The area of the extraction building is around 5,321 m2. It is a four-floor single building featuring an extraction workshop for traditional Chinese medicine and equipped with a hazardous chemicals warehouse of around 210 m2. This building supports the drug testing and production of R&D enterprises in the GMTCM Park.

The area of the sewage treatment plant is about 2,500 m2, of which its sewage treatment technics and capacity can meet the production requirements of each in-Park enterprise and conform to environmental protection requirements. The power center, with an area of about 575 m2, provides steam for all the R&D enterprises in the GMTCM Park.

The Guangdong-Macao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary established in May 2016 by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Cooperation between Guangdong and Macao (GMTCM Park). It is mainly responsible for the management and operation of the Production Service Platform. It will give full play to the strengths of the GMP Pilot Production Service Platform in future to provide in-Park pharmaceutical enterprises with complete services and solutions for production upgrading and international market development, for ultimately becoming an international platform integrating R&D, production and registration services, etc.
